Beautiful Aztec queen, warrior, flames, feathers, skulls, Sun God and Semper Fi dog with tags.

A custom paint job like this begins with a call/text/email. In this case, the client wanted a kandy paint job with Aztec imagery. He was open to my design ideas so long as I included a babe and a significant reference to the Marines.

As for the paint job itself, I stripped all parts to bare metal, then primed them before shooting a silver metallic base coat. I topped this metallic base with several coats of kandy burple, a House of Kolor mixture somewhere between blue and purple. I cleared it and let it cure for a couple days before wet sanding it and getting to work on the airbrushing. I used only black and white paint for the airbrushing. One of the beauties of airbrushing is the range of color value you can achieve with a single color. I sprayed some very light coats of kandy paint around the art work, then proceeded to clear all the parts one last time. After the clear dried I buffed and polished all pieces to a showroom finish.
